Cocoa Beach Family Photographer- How many pics?

Ever wonder how many edited pictures you get to choose from? A loT! We like to take a bunch of photos and let YOU choose which ones you like. That's just one of the ways we try to exceed your expectations!

Cocoa Beach Family Photographer: Thank you for your service!

Did you know that I offer a military discount? Growing up with a dad that earned a Purple Heart in Korea, I have a huge heart for veterans and military families. So if you are or have served our country, please let me know so I can give you a discount. I know it is not much, but it is my way of saying thank you!
"Freedom is not free."

Cocoa Beach Family Photographer- 1st Time At The Beach!

It was so fun capturing this sweet family's first time to the beach. Look at the kid's excited faces! And you know it wasn't long before the kiddos were in the water- pretty white dresses and all. I am so lucky to live in such a beautiful place and so lucky I get to share in people's lives.

Cocoa Beach Family Photographer: Wondering What To Wear On Your Shoot?

A lot of people ask me what they should wear on their photo shoot. First, I think it is important that you wear something that you are comfortable in and that is your style. If you feel good about the way you look, your pictures will reflect that confidence. Second, I always say that solids are better than prints. You don't want your outfit to overpower your face. You don't have to wear matching outfits, but you can. Khaki and white or denim and white are always great looks on the beach. But you can also just go with coordinating colors. Here is a great example of a family that kept their individual style but all coordinated.

Cocoa Beach Family Photo- Shooting between the rain

One thing you will notice about summertime in Florida is that we have afternoon thunderstorms a few times a week. This can be a challenge for those families trying to schedule beach photos. A few things to remember when scheduling a summer session... 1. The best time to shoot is a few hours before sunset. You CAN schedule a morning shoot, but be warned: You have to get up at sunrise, and you only have about 45 minutes until the sun becomes blinding. 2. It is best to schedule your shoot towards the beginning of your vacation in case the weather does not cooperate. 3. It is ok if it is cloudy! Clouds act like a giant soft box providing nice even light. Rain; however, is bad. 4. Just be flexible and we can always shoot between storms. Here are some pictures from my latest session. When we arrived, the rain was just stopping.

Cocoa Beach Family Photographer: Repeat Customers

This has been a cool week because I have two repeat customers from last summer. This cute family from Kentucky have added a new addition to their sweet family- a beautiful baby boy! It was great Nall's meeting up with you again and capturing your family memories!

Cocoa Beach Wedding Photographer at Port Canaveral Welcome Center: Shelby & Joey's Wedding

This was a super special wedding to me because the bride was one of my former students. I had Shelby is both my art and photography classes, and she and her sister were the first photo shoot I did when I started my business. You can see their trash the dress pictures on my 'trash the dress' site gallery. The best part of shooting Shelby's special day was I got to witness the beautiful Godly young woman she has become and see her commit herself to her sweet husband, Joey. I wish you both a lifetime of happiness! Love you Shelby!
